We have a great team of writers at Grab the Passport; come and meet them…
Occupation: Owner of Bella Boho Gifts and Editor and writer for Grab the Passport travel magazine
Current Location: After spending the best part of the last 6 years living and moving between the Italian isle of Sardinia, Carmarthenshire in west Wales and the Veneto region of northern Italy, I am currently living in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath in England.
Favourite Destination: I absolutely love the cosmopolitan bustle and arty vibe of Melbourne in Australia and I was awed by the sheer beauty of Cape Town and Table Mountain in South Africa but I have to admit that having lived in such close proximity to Venice for 6 months it has a very firm hold of my heart. For me, without question, Venice is my number one destination and I cannot wait to get back to Italy to explore the 75% of the city I didn’t cover during my 6 month residency.
Favourite Cuisine: Whilst I enjoy a truly international array of foods and flavours (you’d be pretty stuck as a globe trotting traveller if you didn’t embrace local cuisine), nothing beats coming home (back to Blighty) and having a good old cup of tea and a whopping helping of roast dinner with all the trimmings (you can take a girl out of England, but..!)
Beach & Chill or Culture & Adventure: Both! I always try to find a destination where I can have the best of both worlds, a few days to unwind and acclimatise to new time zones, temperatures and the faster / slower pace of life and then total immersion into the local culture. The best country for this has to be New Zealand – it’s simply stunning from top to bottom and has something for thrill seekers, lovers of the great outdoors, beach babes, culture buffs and city enthusiasts. (I have to admit that I am a lover of city breaks, being able to sit back and watch a city in action is mesmerising.)
